NEWS - SPRING 2009

Spring is here, the fields are drying and beginning to turn green. We are busy getting the fields and equipment ready for haying and awaiting foals.

Isabella, a big, beautiful bay mare is due May 9th and she looks it. We are very excited because this foal will reclaim some of our old bloodlines with both the stallion and mare.

Reclaiming the old:

The stallion, Maine Lee Mr. Merlin is owned by Stan Steinke. Merlin is 23 years old and is the son of Enterprise Silas and Merrilee Easter Joy.

Isabela is the granddaughter of Maine Lee Lara, one of our favorite brood mares. Lara is 33 years old and still going strong.

Adding the new:

Isabella introduces both Orcland and Otterbrook bloodlines into the mix.

We are not only reclaiming old blood lines, we are also reclaiming the barn. A wonderful young man, Kevin Hudner, has been repairing our 150 year old barn. Unlike us, the barn is not sagging as much as it used to.

Our herd is enjoying the warm and sunny weather and so are we.
